Our Small Animal Vet Team

Alastair Williams has been part of Wood Vet Group for nearly 14 years and has been qualified since 2002.  His interests are in surgery, especially orthopaedics and over the years he has brought several new techniques repairing cruciates to WVG!  When he isn’t operating, he helps run the hospital alongside a team of other Clinical Directors. When not at work he is kept busy by his three children and his three labradors.

Rebecca joined the Practice in January 2020 and completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Medicine later that year.  She enjoys the variety of cases we see at Woods.  In 2022 Rebecca joined our team of Clinical Directors.  Outside work, Rebecca keeps a few sheep, cows, pigs and chickens as well as a family of dogs and cats.

Catherine qualified from Bristol University in 2002 and joined Woods in 2009.  Her interests lie in cardiology.  Outside of work, Catherine is kept busy with her children and her cats Obi and Treacle, leaving little time for hobbies!

Jenny graduated in 2010 and began working at Wood Vet Group in September 2016.  Jenny has a particular interest in diagnostic imaging and since being at Woods, she has further developed her interest in this area and is currently working towards a certificate.

Maddie has been a vet for 15 years, working in small animal practice in London for many years and now here in Gloucester, joining our team in 2021.  She enjoys all aspects of caring for pets and their people, with a special interest in internal medicine.  She has recently completed a post-graduate small animal medicine certificate and is now assisting with the mentoring of our new graduates in the team.  Maddie lives locally with her husband, two small children and a rescue greyhound called Daisy!                                                                     

Jenny joined Wood Veterinary Group in May 2021, having worked for 7 years prior to this in a mixed practice (working with horses, farm and small animals). She has a particular interest in small animal medicine and has completed a certificate with a bias for small animal medicine.
