If you and your pet find yourself in an emergency situation during our opening hours, please call ahead to advise us that you are attending the practice so that we can ensure we are ready for your arrival.

If you have an emergency outside of our opening hours, please call us on 01452 543990. We will advise you on how to proceed.

If Wood Veterinary Group is not your usual, registered veterinary Practice, please call the veterinary practice to whom you are registered with.  If your usual practice is closed, their phone lines would normally direct you through to the Out of Hours provider they have in place.  Wood Veterinary Group has a business to business contract with a number of local Veterinary Practices for their Out of Hours arrangements.  Out of Hours costs will be applicable to non-registered clients of Wood Veterinary Group.

Our 24-hour hospital site in Quedgeley has excellent inpatient and hospitalisation facilities, so you can trust that your pet will be in safe hands.

For your convenience, you can also access the hospital using our dedicated out of hours entrance.

As a guide, our emergency consultation fee for Wood Veterinary Group clients is £109.03 (or from £293.21 outside of our standard opening hours). For all clients seen out of hours for other practices (ie outside of users’ own practice’s standard opening hours) consultation fees are from £293.21. If you have a farm animal emergency at any time, please call us on 01452 543999. 

Your call will be answered by our practice team during opening hours, or one of our registered veterinary nurses if out of hours, who may ask you to confirm a few details (such as your name, address and phone number).

They will advise you on how to proceed and can arrange for an on-call farm vet to call or visit you, if required.
