At WVG we are very grateful for the support of all of our loyal clients and their pets. We would like to reassure you that we are here for you when your pets have need of us and we continue to operate our 24/7 service.

We would like to remind all customers that Covid-19 is still a very real threat in terms of staff safety and business interruption.

We are currently experiencing unprecedented levels of staff sickness and isolation which we are endeavouring to manage appropriately to minimise any disruption. However, if absence levels continue to rise it may become necessary to postpone some appointments or routine operations.

We would ask, if we request a postponement or to re-schedule your pet’s treatment with us, that you bear with us in these challenging times.

You may also find that it takes longer to reach us by telephone due to unprecedented demand coupled with Covid-19 absences.

Please do not use the Emergency line option unless your pet is truly suffering from a serious, potentially life threatening, condition.

You can further help us by continuing to wear a mask when in the practice. We are maintaining this requirement as practice policy in efforts to keep everyone safe and to try to reduce the interruption of services from sickness and isolation.

For the same reasons we are continuing to ask clients to remain outside consulting rooms other than in a very small number of exceptional circumstances.

Whilst the vast majority of our clients have been wonderfully supportive of these measures and any adjustments we ask them to make there have, sadly, been a very few instances of unacceptable behaviour towards our staff.

We would remind everyone that the practice does not tolerate abuse towards our staff members. We understand that having an unwell pet can be stressful and emotional but please remember that we are here to help you and your pet. If any employee experiences verbal abuse, or worse, they have been advised to report it to management immediately.

Any such behaviour may result in us declining to retain a client and their pet(s) on our books and asking them to seek services elsewhere. We will not accept poor behaviour.

Once again, thank you to all of our clients; for your understanding and for continuing to work with us through these exceptionally challenging times.
